Some specific tasks of FDH&MT

Heating glass covers and window glazing

Developing in-house software ‘GlassHeat’ for calculation of heating of special glass covers with electrically conductive layers for:

  • room heating,
  • condensate removing,
  • snow and ice removing.

FVM and Smooth-Particle Hydrodynamics (SPH): collision of debris with spacecraft surface

Developing in-house software for simulation of collision of debris with spacecraft surface (solver, GUI for pre- and post-processing).

Solver features: Euler and Navier-Stokes equations, material property database, special boundary conditions, different numerical schemes/

Repair of the gas pipeline by electric arc welding

Temperature distributions along the pipeline wall profile at the electric arc source velocity V = 1 mm/s and different currents: 80, 90, 100, 110, and 120 А

High-speed Gas Dynamics tasks: in-house software (jointly with Belorussian state university)

High-speed Gas Dynamics tasks: modeling of gas flow in nozzles

GUI of Nozzle constructor and initial gas flow definition

High-speed Gas Dynamics tasks: modeling of gas flow in nozzles

Nozzle input: Pressure = 40 MPa, Temperature = 3000 K
Ambient medium: normal conditions on sea level
Density(left) and Mach number (right) distributions

High-speed Gas Dynamics tasks: external gasdynamics around bodies moving in the atmosphere (super and hypersonic motion)

GUIs of Body and Initial Gas Flow Definition

High-speed Gas Dynamics tasks: external gasdynamics around bodies moving in the atmosphere (super and hypersonic motion)

Radius R=2,5 m; Length l= 7,5 m;
Altitude h=40 km; Velocity v= 3 km/s
